Drunks

A few weekends ago I arose earlier than normal due to my wife’s inability to sleep through illness, so to turn a negative into a positive I chose to head down to the local Co-op to buy some crunchy nut flakes as requested by the diseased.  I strolled leisurely as it wasn’t the best of days but it wasn’t raining either and felt no reason to rush.  

There was a small deposit of vomit at the top of the Market Brae Steps, obviously not from a Sunday churchgoer.  There was a young girl looking a tad bedraggled sooking a McDonalds milkshake, not sure which flavour, but obviously had a good time the night before.  The icing on the cake was a man in his 40s stumbling out of McDonalds with a bag of burgers quietly singing DJ Otzi’s version of Hey Baby! quiet enough that only I could hear it though I know he wasn’t directing it at me, just that he was drunk and happy.  All this at 9.20am…

Inverness is full of honking steaming drunks and this should be celebrated by singing novelty songs…DISCUSS!!
